I'm John Popish. I'm a military veteran, a proud American, a Christian, and the founder of Rise Digital Media. I help home service businesses build dependable systems so good work has a better chance to become a growing business.
I've served in the Navy and in law enforcement, led a nonprofit, worked in sales, and built a business of my own. Those experiences taught me to take responsibility, earn trust, and pay attention when a system is letting people down.
Today, I see that happen with contractors. An owner may do exceptional work, yet lose a job because a call went unanswered, a lead sat too long, or nobody followed up with a customer who was ready to hire. The problem often isn't the quality of the work. It's what happens before and after the work.
That's why I started Rise Digital Media. We help contractors capture opportunities, respond quickly, stay organized, and keep in touch with customers. We use practical marketing, automation, and AI to support the people doing the work.

I believe genuine growth comes from human relationships and exceptional service. Technology can answer a missed call, send a timely message, and help an owner stay on top of a busy day. It cannot replace a contractor who shows up, keeps his word, and does the job right.
My Christian values shape how I run this business: tell the truth, treat people fairly, do what you say you'll do, and take responsibility for the results. I want clients to know who they're working with and feel confident calling me when they need help.
I'm also the independently published author of Holy Ghosted, a personal story about hardship, faith, and rebuilding. Writing it took the same honesty I believe business requires. You have to face what's really happening before you can make something better.
